Yashasvi Jaiswal IPL Salary 2020-2026: Year-wise earnings, total income & contracts

Yashasvi Jaiswal is a name that is touted as the next big thing in international cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL). The left-hander made headlines for the first time when he was named in India’s squad for the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup in 2020 in South Africa.

Jaiswal was made to open the innings, and his appetite for runs was on full display in the tournament. He finished the tournament as the leading run-scorer. Jaiswal aggregated 400 runs in six matches at a jaw-dropping average of 133.33 and a strike rate north of 80. His U19 World Cup campaign saw him finish unbeaten in three innings, smashing 39 boundaries and 10 sixes.

Jaiswal faced a total of 485 balls at the marquee event. His stellar show guided India into the final, where they were bested by their Asian neighbours, Bangladesh by three wickets. It was a historic moment for Bangladesh as they were crowned ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup champions for the first time.

Jaiswal was already a millionaire before his heroics for India at the signature ICC event. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the IPL 2020 auction for a whopping sum of INR 2.40 crore.

Jaiswal only got three matches in his debut IPL season in 2020. He added 40 runs, averaging 13.33 at a strike rate of 90.90. The youngster played 10 games in IPL 2021 and aggregated 249 runs at an average of 24.90 and a strike rate of 148.21, including a fifty.

His earnings increased by 47% in 2022 after he was handed a paycheck of INR 4.00 crore by Rajasthan. IPL 2024 turned out to be a season to cherish for Jaiswal. He amassed 625 runs in 14 games at an average of 48.07 and a strike rate of 163.61, including his maiden IPL ton and five half-centuries. Jaiswal was retained ahead of the IPL 2025 edition by Royals for INR 18 crore.
