Ishan Kishan is one of the most dashing Indian wicketkeeper-batters going around. The southpaw has become a household name in India, primarily due to his exhilarating performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the years. An opportunity in the IPL opened up for the lad from Bihar after he led India to a runner-up finish at the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup in 2016.
Ishan made his IPL debut for the now-defunct Gujarat Lions (GL) in 2016. Lions signed Ishan for INR 35 lakhs at the IPL 2016 auction. The southpaw played five games for them that season, scoring 42 runs at a strike rate of 102.43.
