Sunrisers Hyderabad register two all-time low records of their IPL history against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s worst nightmare came to life against Gujarat Titans on May 12 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in match 56 of the ongoing IPL season. Chasing just 169 to win, SRH’s famed batting order got bundled out for just 86 in 14.5 overs. This is SRH’s lowest all-out total in IPL history.

Their previous record was 96 all out against Mumbai Indians (MI), which had come in their hometown Hyderabad in 2019. SRH ultimately lost the contest by 82 runs, which is their biggest margin of defeat in terms of runs in their IPL history. Their previous biggest defeat came against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens on April 3, 2025.

Kagiso Rabada was the one who carried out the demolition job of Sunrisers Hyderabad. The South African seamer ripped through SRH’s batting order, accounting for three of their top four batters. He dismissed Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Ravichandran Smaran.

Rabada was adjudged the Player of the Match (POTM). Jason Holder was also up to the task. The West Indian bagged a three-for himself by getting rid of Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Shivang Kumar. Holder finished with figures of 3/20.

Narendra Modi Stadium: A venue SRH can’t seem to conquer

Sunrisers Hyderabad have historically struggled at the Narendra Modi Stadium. They have just one of six matches that they have played at the iconic ground. Their solitary win came against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on May 8, 2014, which was their first IPL game at the venue. Since then, they have lost five matches and are still awaiting their maiden win over Titans at the ground.
