Two days after registering their highest-ever total (264) in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi Capitals recorded an unwanted feat against their name. Playing against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on their home turf at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi Capitals got bowled out for a mere 75 in match No. 39 of the IPL 2026 season.

Delhi’s 75 is the lowest total by a team this season. The previous lowest was 100 by Gujarat Titans. Titans got bundled out for that score in 15.5 overs against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 20. They lost the game by 99 runs – their biggest defeat in the competition in terms of runs.

Delhi batters could only manage to hang around for 16.3 overs. RCB’s overseas signing, Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar ran riot with the ball. The bowling pair claimed seven wickets between them while conceding just 17 runs.

Hazlewood returned figures of 4/12 at an economy rate of 3.40. He was adjudged the Player of the Match (POTM) for his phenomenal spell of bowling. Meanwhile, Bhuvneshwar conceded just five in three overs at an economy rate of 1.70.
