Kannaur Lokesh Rahul, commonly known as KL Rahul, registered the highest individual score (152*) by a player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season on Saturday, April 25. Rahul achieved the milestone during the 35th match of the season between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Rahul proved his captain, Axar Patel’s decision right after the bowling allrounder decided to bat as the coin fell in his favour. Exercising no mercy whatsoever, Rahul went after the Punjab bowlers and smashed them to all parts of the park. He played 67 balls and hit 16 fours and nine sixes during his unbeaten knock. His runs came at a whopping strike rate of 226.86.

Rahul’s unbeaten 152 is the highest individual score by a player in the 19th edition of the IPL so far. He surpassed Abhishek Sharma’s 135* off 68 balls, which the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter scored in match 31 of IPL 2026 against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the same venue. Rahul’s 152 is the highest individual score by an Indian in the history of T20 cricket.
He went past Tilak Varma’s 151, which the southpaw had scored against Meghalaya in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 game in Rajkot. Rahul is now the fifth leading run-getter in the IPL behind Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner. His 152* is now the third-highest score in the IPL all-time behind Chris Gayle’s 175* and Brendon McCullum’s 158*.
