Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has become a marketable name to such a great extent that he is pushing broadcasters to rethink their strategies. The latest incident involves the Sony Sports Network and its decision to televise the upcoming tri-series involving India A, Afghanistan A and Sri Lanka A, starting June 9. The Sony Sports Network has decided to air the matches live on television, and the live streaming can be accessed on Sony LIV.
While India A’s squad also has the likes of Tilak Varma and Ruturaj Gaikwad among others, it seems that it was Sooryavanshi’s inclusion that prompted such a move from the Sony Sports Network.

Notably, Sony Sports Network is the official broadcast partner of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), which is hosting this tri-nation A series. Therefore, Sony Sports Network exclusively holds the broadcasting rights to the cricket played in the Island nation.
The tournament starts on June 9. As per the format of the series, each team will play against one another twice, and the top two teams on the points table will then advance to the final, which will be played on June 21 (Sunday).
An IPL season to remember for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi
Sooryavanshi, 15, was the star attraction throughout the course of IPL 2026. The left-hander finished the tournament as the leading run-getter with 776 runs in 16 matches at an average of 48.50 and a strike rate of 237.30.
He registered a hundred and five half-centuries and missed out on two significant centuries when he got out in the 90s against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Eliminator and Qualifier 2, respectively.
Sooryavanshi beat high-profile names like Virat Kohli (RCB), Shubman Gill (GT) and Sai Sudharsan (GT) in the race for the Orange Cap. He also became the first player in the history of the IPL to win the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Emerging Player and the Orange Cap in a single edition.
