India have named uncapped pacer Nandini Sharma in their 15-member squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Nandini, 24, has been rewarded for her impressive outing for Delhi Capitals (DC) in WPL 2026.The right-arm speedster finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker in the season alongside Sophie Devine (Gujarat Giants) at an economy rate of 8.31 and a best of 5/33.
Yastika Bhatia also marks her return to the T20I fold. She missed the WPL for Gujarat Giants after failing to recover from an ACL surgery in time. Her last competitive game was against Australia A in August 2025.
India lack pace-bowling allrounders
Pace-bowling allrounders Amanjot Kaur and Kashvee Gautam are out with injuries. Therefore, they were unavailable for selection. Amanjot was not a part of India’s recent five-match T20I series against the Proteas. She is nursing a back injury and could be out of action for four to five months, as per skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.
Meanwhile, Gautam hurt her right knee during the South Africa tour and will undergo surgery soon. Injuries to those two players opened the window of selection for spin-bowling allrounder Radha Yadav. She could only bag two wickets in eight innings at an economy rate of 7.78 in the WPL 2026 season for RCB.
However, she was impressive with bat in hand, scoring 114 runs across six innings at a strike rate of 140.74.The same squad will take on England in a three-match T20I series. The three T20Is will be played on May 28, May 30 and June 2.
